We have an unexpected pipe replacement scheduled for today, Monday March 2nd. The road will need to be dug up to replace the pipe and will be closed from approximately 11AM-3PM

There will be a temporary road closure tomorrow February 26th at 819 Blaine Creek Rd for repairs (this is closest to the 23 side)
Estimated closure times are: 8:30AM-2PM

❄️ Winter Weather Reminder ❄️

During winter storms, we want to remind everyone of a few important things about snow and ice removal:

🚛 Plow blades on pickup trucks do NOT have down pressure.
They rely on gravity and blade weight, which means:
• They can push and scrape snow
• They cannot scrape solid ice or deeply packed snow

🧊 Ice removal is different than snow removal.
Once snow is driven on or refreezes, it becomes bonded to the pavement and cannot be “plowed off.”

🧂 Salt has temperature limits.
When temperatures drop very low, traditional rock salt becomes much less effective and may not activate at all until temperatures rise or sunlight helps.

❄️ What this means:
• Multiple passes may still leave icy spots
• Ice may remain until temperatures improve
• Slower, cautious travel is still necessary even after plowing

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as crews work hard to keep roads and lots as safe as possible during extreme winter conditions. Stay safe out there! 💙

🚩 On September 10, our crews will perform pipe replacement on Newcombe Hollow off Mattie, commencing work at 9a.m. and aiming for completion by 1p.m., pending any complications. Please anticipate delays and adjust plans accordingly, as the road will be excavated for this replacement. 🚩
