Lawrence County Public Library is exploring the idea of expanding our collection with a Library of Things!

A Library of Things allows community members to borrow useful items beyond traditional books and materials. These could include things like tools, recreational games, crafting supplies, baking equipment, and more.

Please take a few minutes to complete this survey and let us know what types of items you would be interested in borrowing from the library. Your feedback will help us learn what would be most useful and exciting for our community.

Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1st, is the first day of Library Card Sign-Up Month!

Stop by any day we're open in September to sign up for a library card, update your account info, or replace a lost/old card and pick from an assortment of library swag!

We're also offering our Financial Amnesty again during September. Materials (books, video games, DVD's/Blu-ray's) MUST be returned in order for fines to be waived. If you have fines on your account for items (excluding ILL's) due August 31, 2026 or earlier, stop by the front desk with late materials to update your account.

Attention anyone who has ask about getting one of the 250th tshirts we gave out around the 4th of July: We have 20 shirts available for purchase. They are on a first come first serve bases. These shirts are $10.00 each. This is the price we paid for them and the library is NOT MAKING ANY MONEY FROM THE SALE OF THESE SHIRTS. You must call or stop by the library in order to purchase a shirt. The only size available is XL.

Join us @ 7AM - 9AM for our Drive-Thru Program: Library Connections Before The Bell. Come pick up a Bulldog Memory Box for the 2026 - 2027 school year and grab coffee and donuts to go! *while supplies last.

✏️Join us today @ 10AM - 12PM for our Homeschool Readifest!

This program is for homeschool children ages 18 & under ONLY. No registration is required. We will have local businesses set up to pass out information and school supplies to families.

🚨For this program, you will enter through the side Meeting Room doors facing Clay Street🚨

🎒The first 100 homeschool children that arrive will receive a backpack full of school supplies! *while supplies last.
