We are the Siena College Democrats! We debate, discuss, and democratically make Siena College more politically aware!

Our mission is to provide a comfortable environment for members of the Siena College Community to discuss political issues with a liberal/progressive viewpoint, while advocating for progressive issues on Siena College's campus. We want to create discussion and debate, to inform and to advocate for the progressive issues important to the Siena College student body. Our goal is to partner with other

organizations to highlight to our fellow students how progressive reform and our political system affects our daily lives and provide a place where students can advocate for these pressing issues. We welcome students of all backgrounds and beliefs to join the discussion, support our mission, and help create a united and bipartisan ethic among Siena's community. Current E-Board (2015/16):

Siena College Democrats are appalled by President Trump’s ICE directive to deport international students if their College or University is only offering online courses. Although Siena is currently aiming for a hybrid system of some in-person and online courses, what will happen to our international students if there is another COVID outbreak and all courses must be completed remotely? We are calling for administrators of Siena College to embody our shared Franciscan values by making a statement to protect and advocate for our international students
