We are committed to offering a wide variety of programs and activities for the public that serve the purposes of education, recreation, and entertainment. Of course, one of our top priorities is providing a top-notch Summer Reading Program for infants, children, teens, and adults every year that helps to keep children reading while they are out of school and generally promotes literacy in our comm
unities. Our board and staff are also interested in making sure that the library has a presence in the community through our roles in organizations such as the Loudonville Rotary Club, the Mohican Area Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Ashland County, and a very healthy and active relationship with the Loudonville-Perrysville Schools. We are very proud of the work that we do at the library, the consistent support of our community, and our beautiful building. In particular, the Loudonville Public Library has recently received national recognition as a “four-star library” through Library Journal’s Index of Public Library Service. This ranking is based on usage statistics that measure visits, circulation of library materials, attendance at programs, and public computer use.
