👀 While we're all looking forward to a well-deserved summer break, we wanted to share our 2026-2027 McPA Events Calendar so families can start planning ahead for another fun-filled school year!

📅 Save the dates for some of our favorite events, including Donuts with Grown-Ups 🍩, Santa Shop 🎄, the Father/Daughter Dance 🪩, Mother/Son Nerf Night 🎯, Book Fair📚, Carnival🎡, and more!

👏 Please note that all dates and events are subject to change, and some events may require volunteers in order to happen. We can't do it without our amazing McMullen families! Summer is a great time to get your background check completed!

🌴 A quick reminder: McPA will be taking a break over the summer. You're always welcome to send us a message, but responses may be delayed and may not be provided until we get closer to the start of the school year. We appreciate your understanding as our volunteers enjoy time with their families and recharge for another great year.

🤍 We are honored to share a special addition to the front of McMullen Elementary.

The McPA recently donated this memorial bench in honor of Mrs. Sharon Baker, a beloved teacher who dedicated 27 years to McMullen before retiring in 2018.

Throughout her career, Mrs. Baker touched countless lives with her kindness, patience, and commitment to her students.

This tribute is especially meaningful to us, as Mrs. Baker's daughter, Michelle, has been a dedicated and valued member of McPA for many years. We are grateful for all she does to support our school community and are honored to help celebrate her mother's legacy.

Placed beneath the shade of one of McMullen's beautiful trees, this bench serves as a lasting reminder of the impact Mrs. Baker made on generations of students, families, and colleagues.

Mrs. Baker's influence continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and we hope this bench provides a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance for years to come 🤍

☀️Calling all McMullen 3rd Graders☀️

The McPA is excited to host our annual 3rd Grade Pool Party as we celebrate our students before they head off to Budd! ❤️

📍 Loudonville Public Pool

All 3rd graders and their families (anyone living in the same household) are invited to join us for an evening of swimming, pool fun, prizes, and making special memories together!

We can’t wait to celebrate this amazing group of students and send them off in true McMullen style! 🎉🏊‍♂️

Dear McMullen Third Graders,

I want to thank you for a fantastic Third Grade Clean Out Day! 🎉🍭

You all came ready to spend those hard-earned Dojo points, and let me tell you… SO much candy was purchased! 😂 We are officially NOT accepting dental bills.

As your PBIS Cart Lady, Fridays have been such a special part of my week. Watching you earn points by being respectful, responsible, and safe has been so much fun. You have truly shown up and set an example for our younger Birds.

It’s bittersweet knowing you’re heading off to Budd School. While I’m sad to see this amazing group go, I’m so proud of each and every one of you. Keep working hard, making good choices, and being kind to others wherever you go.
Thank you for all the laughs, smiles, excitement, and memories this year. McMullen is lucky to have had such an incredible group of third graders.

⚾️❤️ What a fun and memorable Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week at McMullen! ❤️⚾️

We wrapped up the week with our final game, the “Grand Slam Heist,” where staff members had to secretly find and re-hide inflatable bats throughout the day.

🏆Congratulations to Mrs. Pollard and Mrs. Mitchell for holding onto the bats at the final bell and taking home the win!

🍳Yesterday, staff members also enjoyed a Grand Slam breakfast, and today they received their final appreciation gifts with the help of some very special third grade helpers (see video 🥹)

We’d also like to give a special shoutout to our McPA president, Katie, who worked so hard behind the scenes all week long to make sure our staff felt celebrated and appreciated. All while being an amazing teacher herself! ♥️

While we appreciate our teachers and staff every day, we’re so thankful we had this week to celebrate them in a special way. We hope they had fun, enjoyed the games and laughs, and truly felt how loved they are by the McMullen community. ⚾️✨

⚾️Don’t Get Caught Off Base! ⚾️
Today’s game had our staff members channeling their inner base stealers!

Everyone started the day wearing clothespins, and the goal was to secretly pass them off to other players without getting caught. 😂

Our teachers and staff were also treated to lunch today, and we’d like to send a huge THANK YOU to Mohican Market & Café for helping us celebrate our amazing team!

We still have TWO more days of fun, games, prizes, and celebrations ahead as we continue hitting home runs for our incredible McMullen staff! ⚾️❤️

🌸 Reminder: Flower pickup is TOMORROW from 3:30-5:00 PM behind McMullen Elementary. Please plan to load your flowers directly into your vehicle at pickup.

⚾️🎉 Another ALL-STAR day at McMullen during Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! 🎉⚾️

Today our McPA team rolled through the halls with our “Concession Stand” cart, delivering treats and goodies to help our amazing teachers and staff “round the bases” and power through the day! 🌭🍿🥤⚾️

The competition also continued with our Rubber Duck Hunt challenge! Staff searched high and low throughout the building for hidden ducks worth different point values and selfies were required as proof of discovery! 😂🦆📸

Congratulations to Mrs. Spencer, our Duck Hunt champion, who took home 4 tickets to an Akron RubberDucks game! 🏆⚾️

We are LOVING the energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit our staff has brought to this week so far and we’re not done yet! ♥️

🌸 Flower Pick-Up Reminder 🌸

Our flower delivery is arriving Thursday, May 7! Flower pick-up will take place from 3:30–5:00 PM behind McMullen School.

To help the pick-up process run as smoothly and quickly as possible, we kindly ask that families be prepared to load their flowers into their own car or truck upon arrival. 🌿

Thank you again for supporting the McMullen Parents Association and our school community. We can’t wait for everyone to receive their beautiful flowers! 🌷

⚾️☕️ What a GRAND SLAM kickoff to McMullen’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! ☕️⚾️

This morning, our McPA officers loved starting the day by delivering delicious coffee from City Sips Coffee Trailer to help fuel our amazing teachers and staff! ♥️A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the morning extra special.

The fun continued all day with our staff Rock 🪨 , Paper 📄 , Scissors ✂️ showdown tournament! After an intense lightning-round championship battle, congratulations to Mrs. Pollard for taking home the win against Miss Hauger! 🏆👏

And we’re just getting started! There’s still plenty more fun ahead this week with games, prizes, treats, and lots of opportunities to celebrate the incredible teachers and staff who make McMullen Elementary such a special place. ⚾️♥️
