🐝 Well… look who moved into the park! 🐝

These little pollinators decided an irrigation box was the perfect place to call home. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the safest spot for them—or for park visitors!

Instead of simply removing the bees, the colony was carefully captured and relocated to a safer home where they can continue doing what they do best. 🌼🐝

Relocating bees helps:
🐝 Protect an important pollinator colony
🌻 Support local plants and flowers
🌎 Keep our ecosystem healthy
💛 Give the bees a safe place to continue growing
🌳 Keep our parks safe for visitors

Bees play a BIG role in a healthy environment, so when we have the opportunity to save a colony instead of losing it, that’s a win for everyone!

From an irrigation box to a new home — another successful bee rescue! 🐝🏡

Los Lunas Open Space has our very own beehives! Our bees play an important role in supporting pollinators and our local environment—and they make some pretty great honey too!

We’re excited to share that our Open Space honey took 1st Place at the Valencia County Fair! 🥇🍯

We think that’s a pretty sweet way to introduce you to our bees! 🐝💛

Los Lunas Open Space wants to wish all of this year’s exhibitors the best of luck! We know how much time, hard work, early mornings, and dedication go into getting ready for fair week — now it’s time to have some fun and show off that hard work! 💪🌾

Cook Canyon Camp was an adventure from start to finish! 🌲🏕️💦

From soaring through the trees on the zipline to splashing around during water adventures, playing games, laughing nonstop, and making new friends, our campers packed a whole lot of fun into three unforgettable days!

There were smiles, challenges, teamwork, a little dirt, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. Thank you to all the families who trusted us with their campers—Cook Canyon Camp was definitely one for the books! 💚

✨ Last week was one for the books! 🌲☀️

Our Outdoor Adventures participants packed an entire week full of fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories! From 🚴 biking, 🧗 rock wall climbing, 🏹 archery & BB guns, and our action-packed Organized Mass Chaos challenge to exploring the 🌿 Albuquerque Nature Center, 🦎 the Santa Fe Reptile & Bug Museum, and 🐦 the National Audubon Society, every day brought a new adventure.

We loved watching participants build confidence, make new friends, and discover more about the
outdoors through hands-on experiences.

Thank you to all the participants who joined us and helped make this an amazing week. We can’t wait to see everyone on our next adventure! 🌄💚
