At 7 years old, Nadia isn’t asking for much. She just wants to feel love and cuddles again. She is incredibly sweet and seems to be searching for that comfort and closeness she once knew.

Imagine losing the person who was your whole world and then having everything familiar disappear too. Nadia deserves someone who will gently show her that although one chapter of her life has ended, there can still be so much love waiting for her in the next one.

She needs a soft place to land. A warm bed. Gentle hands. Someone to cuddle beside. And most importantly, a family who will make her feel safe, wanted, and cherished for the rest of her life.

This beautiful girl has experienced a loss she doesn’t understand. Her owner passed away, and now, at only 3 years old, she has found herself in a shelter surrounded by unfamiliar people, sounds, and smells.

She’s a little scared right now, and who could blame her? She had a person. She had a life she knew. And suddenly, everything changed.

When you look into those big brown eyes, you can see how unsure she is. She isn’t asking for much, just patience, kindness, and someone willing to show her that she can feel safe and loved again.

She deserves the chance to grieve, decompress, and learn that losing the only life she knew doesn’t mean her story is over. Somewhere out there could be the person who gives this sweet girl her second chapter a quiet place to rest, a gentle hand to reassure her, and a home where she never has to wonder where she belongs again. 🥺

Riot didn’t get to choose for his life to change. One day he had a home, and now he’s waiting behind kennel doors wondering what comes next. But we’re hoping what comes next is the best chapter of his life. 🥺

At just a little over a year old, Laramie has her whole life ahead of her. She came into the shelter as a stray, and somehow this beautiful girl is still waiting for the person who will look at her and say, “You’re coming home with me.”

Laramie deserves so much more than a kennel. She deserves a soft bed of her own, someone who gets excited to see her every day, adventures with her favorite person, and a family who will love and cherish her for the rest of her life.

For the last few weeks, Momma Bear’s whole world has been her babies. She has been right there with them, caring for them and being the mama they needed. Now her puppies are eating on their own, and unfortunately, that means Momma Bear and her babies have had to be separated.

Her job as mama may be coming to an end, but her own story is just beginning.

Momma Bear is still so young herself, just a little over a year old, and she is such a sweet, beautiful, petite girl. At only about 26 pounds, she really is a little thing, and after spending these last weeks taking care of her babies, we would love nothing more than to see someone finally take care of her. 🥺💗

She deserves a home where she never has to wonder what comes next. A soft bed, gentle hands, good meals, lots of love, and a family who will cherish her for the rest of her life. She has spent enough time being Momma Bear to everyone else. Now it’s time for her to simply be someone’s baby. 🐻💕

🤎 HUSH HAS NEVER KNOWN HOW TO FEEL SAFE 🤎

This is Hush, and his first nine months of life have left him completely unprepared for the world. 💔 We were told that during the nine months Hush lived in his previous home, he was never socialized, never played with, and never given the regular human interaction a puppy needs to learn that people and the world around him can be safe.

Now he is only 9 months old and suddenly sitting inside a shelter surrounded by unfamiliar people, sounds, smells, and hands and Hush is absolutely terrified.

We also need to be completely transparent for anyone considering helping him. During intake, when staff were attempting to handle Hush, he became so frightened that he attempted to bite. This is important information that any potential adopter or rescue needs to know. While his reaction occurred when he was extremely scared, no one can promise how he will respond in another frightening situation.

Hush is not a dog who should be rushed, cornered, or expected to immediately accept handling. He needs an experienced, patient person or rescue who understands fearful and undersocialized dogs, can give him space, and can work with him safely and gradually. 🤎

What makes his story especially heartbreaking is that he is still only a puppy. He missed so many of the experiences puppies normally have during their first months of life. He may not know how to play with someone. He may not understand affection yet. He doesn’t know that a hand reaching toward him can mean something good.

But we desperately want him to have the opportunity to learn.

There may be a little boy underneath all that fear who, with the right experienced person, appropriate behavioral support, patience, consistency, and absolutely no forcing, can begin learning that the world doesn’t always have to be frightening. Progress may be slow, and his future behavior cannot be guaranteed—but his life is worth giving a chance. 🥺

Hush doesn’t need someone who simply feels sorry for him. He needs the right person or rescue who understands what they’re taking on and is willing to meet him exactly where he is.

Please share Hush, especially with experienced adopters and rescues familiar with severely fearful, undersocialized dogs. He cannot tell anyone what his first nine months felt like, and right now he doesn’t even know how to ask for help.

💔 MEET WISP , SHE HAS ALREADY LOST SO MUCH 💔

This is one of those posts that is incredibly difficult to write.

Wisp is 10 years old, absolutely terrified, and now she has lost the one familiar soul she had left, her sister.

Wisp was surrendered to the shelter alongside several other dogs who had lived without the socialization, attention, and care they desperately needed. She came in frightened of a world she was never taught how to understand. Everything about shelter life, the unfamiliar people, noises, smells, and activity, is overwhelming for her.

But Wisp wasn’t completely alone. Her 10-year-old sister was surrendered with her. Tragically, her sister passed away overnight at the shelter from natural causes.

Now Wisp is here without her.

She is incredibly timid and scared, and seeing her curled up trying to make herself as small as possible is heartbreaking. At 10 years old, we don’t want the rest of Wisp’s story to be spent frightened inside a kennel.

She doesn’t need someone who expects her to immediately become a different dog. She needs a very calm, patient person who will meet her exactly where she is. Someone who will give her a quiet place to decompress, speak softly to her, move slowly around her, and allow trust to come on her time.

She may not understand toys, cuddles, soft beds, or what it means to be someone’s cherished companion yet. But she deserves the opportunity to learn.

Most of all, Wisp needs someone willing to give her whatever years she has left and make them the best years of her life. A warm bed. Gentle hands. Good meals. Safety. Patience. And eventually, we hope, the realization that she never has to be afraid or alone again.

Please don’t overlook Wisp because she’s 10. Maybe she doesn’t have an entire lifetime left to give someone,but she still has a life that matters. After losing her sister and everything familiar to her, finding one patient person willing to love her could change her entire world.

Tux was surrendered after being described as unwanted, but one look at this precious little boy and it’s hard to imagine how anyone could ever feel that way about him. He’s just a baby, with those big soulful eyes, floppy little ears, and the sweetest face. 🖤

His whole life is still ahead of him. Tux deserves to grow up knowing soft beds, full bowls, belly rubs, toys scattered across the floor, and a family who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again.

Right now, his world is a stainless-steel kennel. We’re hoping someone sees this tiny boy and realizes that Tux could be their best friend for years to come.

Micro was surrendered because he has a tendency to escape, but we don’t want that one thing to define this wonderful boy. What Micro needs is a family who understands him and is willing to provide a secure, well-fenced yard and make sure he is safely supervised when he’s outside.

More than anything, we want Micro to find the kind of home he never wants to leave. A home where he is included, cherished, spoiled, and treated like part of the family. A home where being inside with his people is his favorite place to be, and where he can finally settle in knowing this is where he belongs.

At four years old, Micro has so much love and so many years ahead of him. He deserves people who will look at that sweet face and see a best friend—not just a dog who once figured out how to get out of a yard.
