The CTE teachers from Los Fresnos United and Los Fresnos High School were excited to welcome parents and families during Back-to-School Night. The evening provided an opportunity for meaningful conversations about student progress, academic success, career readiness, and goals for the school year.

Los Fresnos CISD CTE was excited to welcome back graduates of our Dual Enrollment Mechatronics program! After earning their high school diplomas this past May and later completing their Associate Degree in Mechatronics, these alumni returned to share their experiences and inspire current students.. Their dedication is already paying off, with several receiving job offers from leading industry employers. We are proud of their success and look forward to seeing all they accomplish!

Everyone brings something to the table... and at Los Fresnos CTEC, we mean that literally!

The items we're holding represent our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, but they also symbolize something much greater: the knowledge, skills, and opportunities that empower our students to build successful futures.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of these outstanding CTE teachers, Los Fresnos CISD achieved an Industry-Based Certification (IBC) rate of 83.1%, with 669 students earning industry-recognized certifications aligned with their Programs of Study. This remarkable achievement not only played a significant role in the district earning a TEA "A" Rating, but also placed Los Fresnos CISD at the top among the districts reviewed in our region.

While the certifications belong to our students, this success is truly the result of a collective effort.

A heartfelt thank you to our office staff, Mrs. Atkinson and Ms. Sauceda, who keep everything organized and moving forward; our custodial staff, Ms. Natalia, Ms. Gris, and Mr. Juan, whose dedication helps create clean, welcoming spaces for learning; and our police and security team, Officers Moreno, Garcia, and Espinoza, who work tirelessly to ensure a safe environment where students and staff can thrive.

To our incredible leaders, Mr. Rolando Guerra and Ms. Monica Garcia, thank you for leading by example, inspiring excellence, and fostering a culture where teachers genuinely look forward to coming to work each day and helping shape the world, one student at a time.

A special thank you as well to the LFCISD Cabinet Members for providing breakfast for the Los Fresnos CTEC teaching staff and for recognizing the exceptional work taking place in our classrooms every day.

Los Fresnos CISD Career & Technical Education was proud to welcome school board trustees and administrators from across Region One for the Texas Regional School Board Alliance Meeting at the Los Fresnos CTE Center. This meaningful gathering allowed educational leaders to learn from one another, experience innovation in action, strengthen partnerships, and grow as advocates and leaders committed to providing the best opportunities for students.

Guests toured our CTE Center, visited with instructors and district leaders, and most importantly, heard directly from our students. From Veterinary Technician and Mechatronics to Healthcare Pathways, visitors saw students gaining real-world skills, exploring career interests, and preparing for opportunities well beyond high school.

Seeing our students' confidence, knowledge, and enthusiasm firsthand was a powerful reminder of what public education can accomplish when students are given meaningful opportunities to discover their talents, find their path, and pursue their purpose.
