I have decided to take a little time early this morning to address a serious issue. The homelessness in Albuquerque is ridiculous. Here is the fun part though. It's almost 6 am and my wife and I have been waiting about a half block away from a building we help look after for her family. It is a commercial building that they are trying to sell or lease out. We have been here since the around 7:30 yesterday evening for the police to show up and clear out the homeless that have just taken over the building and property. We have been told if someone isn't hurt then basically we are forced to watch people coming and going from the property. This cannot continue like this. They could have broken in we don't know yet. So I would really like to know what the city is actually going to do about this problem. the area in question has been on the news recently and in my opinion the situation here has been downplayed significantly.

I will speak a great deal because it is important to me and while I continue to obey all laws regarding this matter I feel it must change and that when it does I will be nothing short of a responsible owner of them but for now I have to play by the rules no matter how much I don't like them.
I speak of the second amendment because I believe in it's principles of collective defense. We are seeing in Ukraine that when it comes to the defense of the homeland it is every man and woman on deck. I believe that the sheer threat of an armed populace has avoided many threats to our country. More than that I believe everyone our rights as a whole are inalienable. I believe we have squandered them away in the name of a false sense of security. That said I do believe in gun control to a point. Should people have their rights removed? Yes but only after showing a consistent pattern of violence in my opinion. How about a money manager? If they steal people's money yeah sure take away their right to manage money. Again just my opinion but it's no better than Jim Crow laws. Have people done bad things? sure. Should we hold it against them forever? No. The real point is why are we punishing many people for a lifetime when that person has been clean for a long time. There are ways to get it done sure but it isn't available to most people. Not saying it can't be done because we know anything is possible with enough money.
This is one of many serious flaws in the system. There is inequality and too often race becomes the face of everything when the problems really lie in the erosion of or rights.

It's suggested that I focus on local issues rather than running for national office, as local change is more achievable. However, due to my legal history, I'm not allowed to run for local office, which raises concerns about representation. Local officials are also trying to limit our rights. What should I do? Should I just stand back and do nothing? People are scared, and it's frustrating that they're not taking action. We need to fight for change, even if the system seems impossible to beat.
