Cahuenga Branch is the third oldest branch library in the Los Angeles Public Library system. Located at 4591 Santa Monica Boulevard in the East Hollywood section of Los Angeles, it was built in 1916 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie. One of three surviving Carnegie libraries in Los Angeles, it has been designated as a Historic-Cultural Monument and listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Teens! Find out on Thursday, April 30, how high school students can learn about the democratic process and get involved with the November 2026 and future elections! The Los Angeles County Registrar's office will share information about the Student Election Workers Program, including what they do, how to apply and more. Have a direct impact on local, state, and national elections, while earning community and/or learning service credits. Plus, get paid up to $100 per day of service.

April is Everything Earth Month!🌎 On Thursday, April 9, join Certified Food Preservation Instructor Brie Wakeland Muszynski for a presentation on the science of fermentation and how to safely make kombucha and other fermented sodas at home. The presentation includes tasting samples, and a Kombucha zine.

Please bring a clean pint or quart size jar if you would like to take a kombucha scoby home.

For teens and adults.
