Last week, 52 people joined our Instagram Live and Zoom as we took our platform work to the next level.

In July, we defined our priorities. In August, we took them directly to Congresswoman Maxine Waters, one of our country’s longest-standing progressive champions and a leader who has fought for Black Los Angeles for decades.

We reclaimed our time, asked hard questions, and dug into what our priorities can actually look like as a federal platform for 2028.

This is what building political power looks like: defining our values, sharpening our demands, and organizing to win.

Next up: our September Membership Meeting — the last Tuesday of every month. Come help us keep building.

Today, our people-powered coalition came together and made 2,591 calls for Cori Bush-Merritts in one hour! That’s what happens when organizers, students, young Democrats, and volunteers believe in something bigger than themselves.
