This office promotes and facilitates programs in support of the Mayor and City Council’s economic development initiatives.

The City Clerk serves as the Clerk of the City Council and maintains a record of all Council proceedings; maintains the official City records and archives; administers all City elections; provides fiscal, administrative and personnel services to the Council and Mayor; and provides staff assistance to Council Committees. To that end and by mandate, the City Clerk administers the City of Los Angeles

’ Business Improvement Districts program. The City Clerk also provides records retention management services for all City departments, and administers and manages the City's Archives. LA City Clerk’s outreach team was proud to join the Community Health and Wellness Fair, organized by Regeneration Recovery and Re-entry Services. Focused on health, wellness, community resources, and connection, this meaningful event brought together valuable services and opportunities for community members to connect and thrive.

Our team provided nonpartisan voter information and registration resources for the upcoming November 3 General Election. Thank you to Regeneration Recovery and Re-entry Services for inviting us to be part of this important event!

What happens when art, music, murals and civic engagement come together?

Throughout the week and weekend, the LA City Clerk team was out across multiple outreach events, connecting with residents in different neighborhoods and community gatherings.

From local festivals to neighborhood block parties, we shared voter registration resources, answered questions, and helped make civic participation more accessible, welcoming, and engaging for all Angelenos.
