Encourage your student to participate in UCLA's Sustainable Bruin Move Out taking place on Thursday, June 11! This program is a community effort to collect unwanted furniture, kitchenware, and more for donation. Instead of tossing those items out, students can drop them off at one of three locations in the North Village where they will be sorted and donated to nonprofit partners. Your Bruin can help reduce their carbon footprint, support the community, and keep Westwood beautiful – just by taking a few simple steps.

Dear Bruin Families,

A few days ago, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk delivered his 2026 State of the Campus Address, sharing a clear vision for the university’s future. Throughout what has been a transformative year in Westwood, Chancellor Frenk emphasized that great universities are built not only on academic excellence, but also on strong connections, a shared sense of purpose, and the courage to face critical challenges head-on.

Speaking before faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners at De Neve Auditorium, Frenk reflected on UCLA’s history, celebrated recent accomplishments across campus, and outlined a forward-looking plan grounded in the community-informed One UCLA strategic vision. His message centered on the three aspirations introduced during his inauguration last June: to be a connective, impactful, and exemplary institution.
