The Midnight Mission believes community equals built in moments of connection.

That is exactly what's happening on May 30th at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Get Together Now! -a concert event that celebrates unity, kindness, and shared purpose. Inspired by the legacy of Jesse Colin Young and The Youngbloods iconic song GET TOGETHER, this concert is a reminder that what connects us is stronger than what divides us.

The Midnight Mission is proud to be part of this wonderful and meaningful event bringing all people together to help transform music into meaningful support for individuals and families in need.

We invite you to be part of this special night of live music, vision, and words.

What if the biggest myths about homelessness could be changed just by seeing the work up close?

This week’s Midnight Minute is an invitation to tour The Midnight Mission. Learn how we’re actively working to end homelessness and support recovery from drug addiction in Los Angeles, and see the impact for yourself.

Before donating to any organization, we encourage everyone to check Charity Navigator to better understand transparency, accountability, and how funds are being used. We’re proud to hold a 5-star rating there, reflecting our commitment to integrity and impact.

False narratives about homelessness continue to spread online, reducing deeply human experiences to simplistic talking points and stereotypes.

At The Midnight Mission, we see a different reality every day.

Homelessness is often connected to trauma, poverty, mental health struggles, medical crises, domestic violence, grief, aging, and impossible housing costs, sometimes all at once. Our unhoused neighbors are human beings deserving of dignity, compassion, and care.

That is why programs like Music With A Mission matter. Volunteer musicians donate their time to create moments of joy, healing, and belonging through music. Recently, Las Chorizeras filled our dining room with vibrant music, culture, and connection, reminding our community that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

Music alone cannot solve homelessness, but human connection can help restore hope.

The crowd clapped, sang along, and fully embraced the joy and energy of Street Symphony’s women’s Mariachi ensemble during their 126th visit to The Midnight Mission. 🎶❤️

Founded by singer songwriter Nancy Sanchez and featuring Anisette Noperi, Maria Vega, and Darlene Perez, the ensemble brought more than music to Skid Row. They created moments of joy, dignity, connection, and belonging for our unhoused and near homeless neighbors.

Through Music With A Mission, music becomes a bridge that brings people together, reminding our community that healing and hope can be found in shared experiences.

Thank you to Street Symphony and these incredible artists for filling our dining room with culture, celebration, and heart.

For Steven, a warm meal means one less thing to worry about. Access to free daily meals helps him stretch his resources while staying nourished and supported in his Section 8 housing journey, because no one should have to choose between stability and a meal.

Every meal is more than food. It is dignity, hope, and support during the journey home.

Join us in helping neighbors like Steven by supporting The Midnight Mission and sharing this message of compassion and care.

Art has a powerful way of helping people heal. 🎨✨

Thank you to The Art of Elysium for hosting such a special art showcase for our participants last Thursday. Through art, poetry, and performance, individuals in recovery had the opportunity to express themselves and experience the healing power of creativity.

Recovery is about more than sobriety. It is also about rediscovering joy, connection, and purpose.
