For many youths, the U.S. has been home even when they didn't have a local birth certificate or legal status to prove it.🤱
14 years ago, DACA created an opportunity for these young people to work, earn an education, and contribute more visibly to the community.

Though it persists, there are current challenges in court. There is no time to delay your application when it comes to DACA renewal.
Check your case with the steps below & contact IRIS with any questions!📑

IRIS has been providing skilled, confidential support for people to renew their DACA status since starting legal services (~10 years ago).

How do migrant-support non-profits get public funding?

❗️By having champion representatives & civic engagement❗️Elections are around the corner, voters. California's in-person, early voting starts Sat. May 30th, with the cutoff at 8PM June 2nd. Mailed ballots can be dropped off any time before then.

You can still register at your county's official voting locations through Election Day, even if you missed the May 18th deadline

Don't miss out on the opportunities to influence public policy & public funding.

Hope Lutheran sure does have a fitting name! What a blessing it is to be contacted by neighbors ready to mobilize with support.
Essentials kits like these get distributed frequently to immigrants, refugees, and other migrant clients who need community support. We send a hearty thanks to Hope Lutheran Church, Hollywood, CA and everyone who volunteered for Service Sunday!

Yesterday we made kits to support Interfaith Refugee & Immigrant Services for our monthly Service Sunday project!
