After nearly a decade of experiencing homelessness, Latanya came to Weingart Center ready to build a whole new future. Today, she has earned her high school diploma, obtained her driver's license, and is studying psychology in college with plans to graduate in 2027.

Latanya's dedication to her goals and her family reminds us why stable housing and wraparound services matter. We celebrate her hard work and continued success.

California’s Great ShakeOut is an opportunity for our Permanent Supportive Housing participants and staff to practice earthquake preparedness together. Today, participants across our PSH locations will take part in the “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” drill, learning simple actions that can help keep people safer during an earthquake.

Preparedness starts with practice. We are proud to support our residents in building confidence, awareness, and readiness for emergencies.

This National Coming Out Day, Weingart Center affirms that everyone deserves to be safe, respected, and welcomed for who they are.

LGBTQ+ people experiencing homelessness often face unique barriers to housing, safety, and support. We remain committed to helping build pathways to stability through compassionate, person-centered services and a community where every person can belong.

Whether you are out, not out, questioning, or simply supporting someone you love, you deserve dignity, respect, and a place to call home.

Homelessness is not inevitable. Housing and supportive services save lives.

On World Homeless Day, we recognize the thousands of people across Los Angeles experiencing homelessness and recommit to solutions rooted in dignity, safety, and long-term stability.

At Weingart Center, we believe every person deserves more than a place to sleep. They deserve the support and opportunity to rebuild. Through interim housing, permanent supportive housing, case management, health care connections, employment services, and other wraparound resources, we help people move from homelessness toward stability and a place to call home.

This work takes all of us. Together, we can build a Los Angeles where homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring.

This World Homeless Day, consider making a donation to Weingart Center at weingart.org/donate

It’s not just a donation. It’s an investment. Homelessness is a costly enterprise for everyone. Getting people off the streets and into a job is good for all of Los Angeles, including you.

🌿 A joyful day of new beginnings at The Weingart Greenleaf! 🌿

On September 4, Weingart Center hosted a special Lease Up event at The Weingart Greenleaf, bringing together future residents, staff, and community members to celebrate the opportunity for people to move forward in a place they can call home.

Guests learned more about Weingart Center’s supportive services and resources, explored the new permanent supportive housing community, and shared in the excitement of 26 new residents signing their leases.

We are so proud to welcome these new neighbors to The Weingart Greenleaf and celebrate the start of this meaningful new chapter. 🏡💚
