The Consulate General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the Pakistan American Chambers of Commerce and Industry (PACCI) and Safeer-e-Pakistan, organized the “Made in Pakistan Soccer Tournament and Festival” in Los Angeles on 13 June 2026. The event was inaugurated by Consul General Asim Ali Khan with a symbolic kickoff on Trionda.
The event celebrated Pakistan’s contribution to the global sports industry, particularly its role in manufacturing Trionda, the official match ball of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Proudly made in Pakistan, Trionda is being used throughout the tournament, which is taking place from 11 June to 19 July 2026. Los Angeles is one of the host cities and is staging eight World Cup matches.
The “Made in Pakistan Soccer Tournament and Festival” showcased the excellence of Pakistan’s sports manufacturing sector while bringing together soccer enthusiasts of diverse origins, members of the Pakistani-American community, and local residents. Attendees enjoyed friendly soccer competitions as well as a vibrant display of Pakistani culture, cuisine, and heritage.
During his inaugural remarks, Consul General Asim Ali Khan highlighted the role of sports in bringing people together. He underscored the impact that the Consulate General, in partnership with Pakistani community, is creating through sports diplomacy on the West Coast, especially during FIFA World Cup 2026 when all eyes are set on world's largest sporting event.
