เมื่อวันเสาร์ที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2569 สถานกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ร่วมกับสถานกงสุลใหญ่ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนประจำนครลอสแอนเจลิส ได้แก่ สถานกงสุลใหญ่อินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย เมียนมาและฟิลิปปินส์
จัดกิจกรรมวันอาเซียนประจำปี 2569 (ASEAN Day Celebration 2026) เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 59 ปี การก่อตั้งสมาคมประชาชาติแห่งเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (อาเซียน) ณ อาคารที่ทำการสถานกงสุลใหญ่อินโดนีเซีย ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส
นายรัฐนันท์ วิชัยดิษฐ รักษาราชการแทนกงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ได้นำข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ เข้าร่วมการจัดกิจกรรมวันอาเซียน (ASEAN Day Celebration 2026) เพื่อร่วมเฉลิมฉลองในโอกาสดังกล่าว และกระชับความร่วมมือและความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน โดยในช่วงพิธีการ
นาย Adelio Angelito Soriano Cruz กงสุลใหญ่ฟิลิปปินส์ฯ ประธานในพิธีเปิดได้กล่าวถึงบทบาทที่สำคัญของอาเซียนและความมุ่งมั่นที่จะเสริมสร้างความใกล้ชิดและกิจกรรมที่สร้างสรรค์ระหว่างสมาชิกประเทศอาเซียนในนครลอสแอนเจลิส โดยหวังว่า จะเป็นกิจกรรมที่จะจัดต่อเนื่องในปีต่อ ๆ ไป
ผู้เข้าร่วมงานฯ ได้ร่วมกันร้องเพลงประจำประชาคมอาเซียน (ASEAN Anthem) และรับชมการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมที่สะท้อนถึงความหลากหลายและอัตลักษณ์ของประเทศสมาชิก โดยสถานกงสุลใหญ่ฯ ได้จัดส่งการแสดง 2 ชุด โดยคณะนาฏศิลป์จากวัดป่าธรรมชาติ ได้แก่ การแสดงระบำกฤดาภินิหารและการแสดงฟ้อนสาวไหม นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานฯ ได้มีการฉายภาพยนตร์อาเซียน โดยไทยได้ฉายภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Friend Zone ของบริษัท GDH ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจจากผู้เข้ารับชมจำนวนมาก ทั้งนี้ ประเทศต่าง ๆ ได้นำเสนออาหารอาเซียนในรูปแบบของ Potluck Lunch ให้แก่คณะกงสุลต่างประเทศและเจ้าหน้าที่ฯ มีการเปิดบูธขายอาหารและจัดบูธวัฒนธรรมและการท่องเที่ยว เพื่อเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เข้าร่วมงานได้เรียนรู้และสัมผัสถึงความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรมของประชาคมอาเซียนและส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวในภูมิภาคอีกด้วย
การจัดกิจกรรมวันอาเซียนในครั้งนี้นับเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์ฉันท์มิตรและความร่วมมือระหว่างสถานกงสุลใหญ่ประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนประจำนครลอสแอนเจลิส และส่งเสริมความตระหนักถึงความเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกันภายใต้ความหลากหลายของประชาคมอาเซียน
On Saturday, 8th August 2026, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, in collaboration with ASEAN Consulates-General in Los Angeles— including the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia, the Consulate General of Malaysia, the Consulate General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Consulate General of the Republic of the Philippines—organized the ASEAN Day Celebration 2026. The event commemorated the 59th anniversary of the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), held at the premise of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia.
Mr. Rathanand Vichaidit, Acting Consul-General, led the officials and staff of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in participating at the event to celebrate the significant occasion and to foster closer ties and cooperation among ASEAN member states. With the Philippines as the Chair of ASEAN this year, Mr. Adelio Angelito Soriano Cruz, Consul-General of the Philippines, presided over the opening ceremony and highlighted the essential role of ASEAN and the intention to bring closer connection and constructive cooperation among ASEAN countries in Los Angeles. He also expressed hope that the ASEAN Day Celebration would become a continuing activity in the years to come.
Guests and audiences had the opportunity to sing the ASEAN anthem together and see traditional performances reflecting the diversity and identity of ASEAN member states. The Royal Thai Consulate-General presented two cultural performances by Wat Padhammachat dance troupe, namely Rabam Kridaphinihan dance and the Fawn Sao Mai (The Weaving Dance). Moreover, the event featured ASEAN film screenings, with Thailand presenting the film, “Friend Zone” by GDH, which attracted great interest from the audience. The ASEAN Consulates also prepared a variety of ASEAN cuisine through a potluck lunch for members of the Consular Corps and staff. Food, cultural, and tourism booths were set up, offering attendees an opportunity to experience the rich diversity of the ASEAN community while promoting tourism throughout the region.
The “ASEAN Day Celebration 2026” serves a meaningful opportunity to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation among ASEAN Consulates-General in Los Angeles, while promoting a greater awareness of ASEAN Community’s unity in its diversity.
