Although we are not strangers to brutality in this region of the world, it is jarring to see such unprovoked and unjustified violence. The Jewish Caucus stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and with everyone praying for peace in the region. 🇺🇦🇺🇸

In celebration of Black History Month and in partnership with Brotherhood Crusade, join our Federation for a conversation on Legacy and Bridging Communities of Faith. The program will explore shared values that guide Black and Jewish faith communities and envision collaborative paths forward for spiritual wellness, healing, and empowering future generations to make our world more equitable. Speakers include Pastor James McKnight , The Congregational Church of Christian Fellowship and Rabbi Noah Farkas, President & CEO of our Federation.

We will also hear from Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel, Chair, California Legislative Jewish Caucus and Senator Sydney Kamlager, Vice Chair, California Legislative Black Caucus on civic engagement opportunities and legislative priorities as well as from Gerald Evans, Brotherhood Crusade Youth Development Program Participant.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau and honor the survivors and victims of the Holocaust.

Our Caucus will continue to strengthen Holocaust Education in CA and fight against antisemitism, hate, and bigotry.

CA is providing $50 million in security funding to protect nonprofits at risk of hate-motivated violence.

Our Caucus is proud to have worked with Gavin Newsom, Toni G. Atkins, Speaker Anthony Rendon and colleagues and advocates from across the state to secure this essential funding.

Yesterday, members of the Jewish Caucus, Holocaust survivors, and advocates, announced $2.5m to expand Holocaust Museum L.A.. The Museum does extraordinary work educating young people about the history of the Holocaust & our obligation to speak out against antisemitism, hatred, & bigotry.
