LA Ronald McDonald House (LARMH) provides a home-away-from-home for families with ill children.

Our facility houses up to 75 families each night, 365 days a year. Due to a limited number of rooms and the increasing need for our services, priority is given to families of children diagnosed with cancer. Families of children with other serious illnesses will be admitted as space permits. The House is in close proximity to Children's Hospital, Kaiser Permanente and Shriners Hospital, and the maj

ority of our families are served at one these partner hospitals. We also accept families from surrounding hospitals such as UCLA and Cedars-Sinai. To request a room, please ask your hospital social worker to fill out a Room Request using http://rmhcsc.org/losangeles/page/refer-family or by fax to 323-669-0552. Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House strives to be your home away from home. Our two buildings (located next door to each other) each have a laundry room, computer room, communal kitchen, outdoor barbecue grills, outdoor and indoor play areas for children and visiting areas. We even have a fully-equipped exercise room available for parents to use during their stay. There is secure complimentary parking, and local hospitals offer free shuttle service to and from the hospital to the House.

Our board members came together for our annual Board Retreat with fundraising consultant Kathy Drucquer Duff, spending a full day strengthening our mission, deepening our fundraising practices, and reaffirming our commitment to keeping families at the heart of everything we do.

Through shared learning, thoughtful discussion, and meaningful collaboration, we continue building the foundation that allows us to support families in all the ways they need us most.

A heartfelt thank you to every board member who joined us and to Kathy for guiding such an impactful and inspiring day. Together, we are shaping a future rooted in compassion, connection, and purpose.

To every group, volunteer, board member, and supporter who showed up to host a Meal of Love or spend time with our families, thank you. You brought more than nourishment. You brought comfort, joy, and a sense of ease to families who call our House "home" 🍽️✨

Their team recently spent a Day of Service volunteering their time and energy helping clean and refresh our family spaces, making sure our House continues to feel warm, welcoming, and comfortable for every family who walks through our doors. 🏡✨

Mothering means showing up in a hundred different ways… offering comfort, staying strong in the hardest moments, and creating calm in the middle of chaos.

Through our Nourishing Families, Nourishing Hope campaign, we help ease one more burden for those who mother critically ill children by providing warm meals, reliable nutrition, and the comfort of knowing they won’t have to worry about what’s for dinner after a long day at the hospital.

When basic needs are met, families can focus on what matters most: healing together. 💜
