United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council The UNNC is your neighborhood voice to the city. Representing the neighborhoods in Historic Arlington Heights, West Adams, and Jefferson Park. www.unnc.org

What is a Neighborhood Council? The Neighborhood Council is you, your family, and your neighbors. It is composed of people who a stake in the well-being of the area that the Neighborhood Council represents. Technically called “stakeholders”, these are people who live, work, own property in the area, or who have a genuine concern for the community through their membership in a local organization, t

heir affiliation with a school, a church, a non-profit organization, or who have some other similar involvement. The Neighborhood Council is open to everyone. The United Neighborhoods Neighborhood Council holds its meetings the first Thursday of each month at City District 10 meeting room. These meetings are open to the public. WHAT IS IT?
Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson is hosting a FREE community hiring fair open to all residents of the 8th Council District and surrounding South LA communities. This is a one-stop shop for anyone who is looking for a job, wants to explore career opportunities, or needs resources and support to get back to work.

• 20+ employers have been invited spanning a wide range of industries including:
- City departments: LADOT, LAWA, LADWP, and the Port of Los Angeles
- Healthcare industries

- And many more across retail, hospitality, transportation, and beyond

• WorkSource Centers: connect with job training, placement services, resume help, and more
• BusinessSource Centers: resources for small business owners and entrepreneurs in the community

• It's completely FREE and open to the public

• Access to workforce development resources all in one place
• Opportunity to learn about City of Los Angeles employment and career pathways

• Multiple copies of their resume
• A valid photo ID
• Dress professionally: this is a hiring event, first impressions matter!
HOW TO SPREAD THE WORD:
