Kaizen is now live in Maricopa County, AZ—one of the country’s fastest-growing counties!

After a successful rollout across the County’s regional parks and recreation system last week, residents and visitors can now book campsites and facilities, purchase passes, and manage reservations through Kaizen’s unified, mobile-first platform—bringing faster booking, real-time availability, and modern payments to a region of nearly 5 million people.

With this launch, Kaizen now powers resident services in both Maricopa and Pima County, serving ~75% of all Arizona residents.

🎉 Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our two newest team members at Kaizen — Tywen Kelly and Connie Wang!

👋 Tywen joins us as a Full-Stack Engineer, bringing with him a unique blend of experience in product management, multimedia production, and a passion for all things creative tech. Tywen recently completed a deep dive at Recurse Center and just wrapped up hiking El Camino. When he’s not building awesome things, you can find him making digital art, experimenting with photogrammetry and 3D modeling, or creating stunning photo books from his international travels. Bonus: he’s a huge Survivor fan and has a seriously cool portfolio website. 🎨📸🌍

👋 Connie also joins us as a Senior Software Engineer, bringing over seven years of engineering experience and a strong drive to contribute to mission-driven work—one of the many reasons she was drawn to Kaizen. With a background in piano performance and cognitive science, Connie brings a uniquely thoughtful and creative perspective to tech. Outside of work, she’s a dedicated adventurer — last year she hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc, and this year she’s headed for the Dolomites! 🏔️🎶🥾

🎉 Kaizen was proud to be the platinum sponsors of the Washington Recreation and Park Association 2025 conference in Kennewick last week. It was so wonderful to connect with so many leaders in a state that where recreation and parks are so integral to communities.

We loved learning about so many awesome projects Washington communities are working on from wheel-chair accessible hiking paths, 🥾 to creating innovative youth programs focused on serving neurodivergent populations.

We can't wait to come back to Washington for future events and to visit with all the communities we had the chance to meet. 💚
