2026 PHILIPPINE INVESTMENT MISSION: BUILDING GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, in partnership with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Los Angeles (PTIC-LA) and the Asian Consulting Group (ACG), invites the Filipino and Filipino-American community, business leaders, and interested stakeholders to the 2026 Philippine Investment Mission, themed “Building Global Partnerships: Partner, Grow, and Succeed in the Philippines.”

The event will feature discussions on investment opportunities, tax incentives, and pathways for doing business in the Philippines, while providing a platform to explore potential business partnerships between the Philippines and the United States.

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles invites everyone to Eatsperience Philippines: Where Flavor Meets Culture, a Philippine food showcase at the LA Times Food Bowl on 23-24 October 2026 at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.

Co-hosted by the Philippine Department of Tourism - Los Angeles and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center - Los Angeles, the showcase will feature Filipino food and beverages highlighting ube, coconut, coffee, and calamansi, with participating brands Nathaniel’s, Century Pacific Food, Nomsi, and Teofilo Coffee.

In support of efforts to bring Filipino stories to international audiences, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles is pleased to share the upcoming California theatrical screenings of the Filipino animated documentary 58th, from 23 to 29 October 2026, at Laemmle Theatres in Glendale, California.

Produced by GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures and directed by Carl Joseph Papa, 58th tells the story of the victims of the 2009 Maguindanao Massacre. The film also sheds light on the continuing efforts of the family of Reynaldo "Bebot" Momay to seek official recognition of him as the massacre's 58th victim.

The film has gained international recognition through its participation in major film festivals, including the Busan International Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. It also received three honors at the 2026 Manila International Film Festival, including Best Documentary Picture, Best Director and the Shining a Light Award.

Supported by the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP), 58th is also seeking consideration in the Best Documentary Feature Film category at the 2027 Academy Awards.

In celebration of Filipino American History Month, and in line with its efforts to promote Philippine cinema and creative talent to international audiences, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles is pleased to share the West Coast premiere of the Filipino film Sisa at the 27th Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF).

Starring acclaimed Filipina actress Hilda Koronel, Sisa is a historical drama-thriller that has received international recognition, including the Best Screenplay Award at Fantasporto in Portugal and the Audience Award at the Asian American International Film Festival in New York.

Happy Filipino American History Month! 🇵🇭🇺🇲

On the first day of October, we celebrate Philippine living traditions that connect our communities across the Pacific.

The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles is honored to welcome Lyn Buti, T’boli culture bearer and artist from Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, and to hear her story of keeping T’boli traditions alive.

Experience T’boli culture through dance and music at Gonoyebong of Lyn Buti, presented by Kayamanan Ng Lahi and Malaya Filipino American Dance Arts.
