TWEENS/TEENS AND YOUNG ADULTS! Are you an aspiring actor? Or do you want to improve your public speaking skills? If so, please join us for a special introductory acting workshop here at Cypress Park Branch Library on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10 at 2pm! This program is taught by Alexa Almaz and will cover the history of acting as well as the joy of acting via improv, games and scene-study. This program is intended children, teens, and young adults. Spread the word!

Baby/Toddler program: September 14 at 11 a.m. at the Cypress Park Branch Library.

Alana Banana brings music and movement through interactive, original, and well known kid’s songs to inspire joy and imagination. Program is geared towards babies/toddlers but children ages 0 to 5 years old are welcome to attend.

As part of the “YOUR AUTHOR” series, Cypress Park was fortunate to host Brenda Chi’s 朱秀瑩 bchi drawing workshop on Thursday afternoon. Library users of all ages learned drawing basics and a little bit about Brenda’s trajectory as a first-generation immigrant art student. Fun fact: Brenda designed the graphic for LAPL’s 2024 Summer Reading viral tote bag! Thank you to the generosity of the Library Foundation of LA for funding this program.
