By popular request by APB students, students are allowed to wear green clothing to school on March 17 for St. Patrick’s Day. Wear a green shirt with dress code pant OR wear green pants/skirt with a dress code shirt OR wear green pants/skirt and a green shirt.

The California Department of Education announced last week that Ánimo Pat Brown has been named a 2026 California Distinguished School. This recognition is based on academic outcomes on the California School Dashboard.
APB was recognized as an Achievement Gap Closer, which honors schools that are accelerating academic progress for two or more groups of students who have been historically underserved, while also demonstrating achievement for all students above the state median and maintaining or improving academic performance across the entire school community. This recognition reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, staff, and families, and the strong culture of learning that defines APB. We look forward to celebrating this honor with the entire school community.

Summer Bridge starts next week! It will be from July 14-18, from 9 am to 12 pm each day. Students must wear their school uniforms each day. There will be a parent meeting on Monday, July 15, from 10 am to 11 am in the gym. As a reminder, APB is a phone-free school. Students will put their phones away each day when they arrive.
