After losing his band and the love of his life, Rochelle, Bobby Alderman, the driving force of disbanded rhythm & blues group Devereaux, has been in purgatory, hunkered down in a dive motel in Laughlin, NV for the past five years. One of the band’s unreleased songs finds it's way into a Gatorade commercial and, suddenly, there is buzz about the band again -

Denise Tomasino, Devereaux’s former ma

nager (and Bobby's former lover), and herself a one-hit teenage wonder, is now the president of the label that holds Bobby’s contract. With Bobby's help, she sees an opportunity for Devereaux to reunite and to finish their unreleased studio album. Old wounds and passions are ignited, setting into motion a chain of events that just may give Devereaux and each of the members of the band opportunities for a second chance. Raw, simple and emotionally moving, The Devil You Know is a modern story of redemption woven among a sonic backdrop of contemporary rhythm and blues, that gets into your bones and carries you along a unique and relatable journey.
