The Venice Neighborhood Council’s Parking, Transportation & Infrastructure Committee is exploring potential concepts for increasing the pedestrian areas on Windward Avenue, and is looking for your input! This survey seeks stakeholder opinions on the concepts.

Windward Avenue and its hanging “VENICE” sign are famous. Yet it remains visually dominated by its wide roadway and vehicular traffic. For over 30 years there have been proposals to make the two blocks of Windward Avenue between Speedway and Windward Circle more pedestrian-friendly. The up-coming Olympics provide an incentive for finally doing something. The questionnaire will ask you to comment on two concepts for enhancing the pedestrianization of these two blocks.

There is no adopted plan at this time. The graphics in the questionnaire are concepts only, subject to change and refinement.

For more information, contact the committee at [email protected].

Take the survey at the link in our bio.

Venice Is Getting Ready. Are You?

For the first time ever, Venice is preparing for an in-person tsunami drill this October!

Thursday, March 26th we are kicking off this adventure with a Virtual Town Hall is where it all begins!

Zoom in with us for a lively, informative conversation about tsunami awareness, what a warning really means, and how Venice is planning ahead. Hear from experts, ask questions, and learn what to expect as we move toward a first-of-its-kind community drill later this year.

This is about readiness, awareness, and coming together as a community that prepares together. Stay tuned, stay informed, and be part of the beginning.

Register at the Eventbrite link found on our website. Link in bio.

Brought to you by the Venice Public Health and Safety Committee (PHSC) Disaster Resiliency Team. Contact Keith Harrison at [email protected] to get involved
