📽️Films On the Green is back in LA! This September, Villa Albertine Hollyhock House, Mezzanine, Films on the Green Festival mark 250 years of French-American friendship with a free outdoor screening of MODEL SHOP (1969), the only English-language film by New Wave master Jacques Demy, and one of the great cinematic portraits of L.A.
🎞️ Follow a slacker architect as he trails a mysterious model across the city, from Malibu to Beverly Hills to Santa Monica Boulevard. A dreamlike, melancholic love letter to Los Angeles, seen through Demy’s camera.
Join us on the west lawn of the iconic Hollyhock House for a dreamy live performance by French American singer Jean-Luc Eldenwood, food trucks, and a screening under the stars! 🌟
Bring your friends and your blankets for a magical evening in one of L.A.’s most beautiful spots. See you there!
