San Fernando Valley Council of Governments The SFVCOG serves the regional interests of 2 million residents. of the California Government Code.

The SFVCOG came into being with the adoption of the Joint Powers Agreement by the City and County of Los Angeles along with the cities of Burbank, Glendale, San Fernando and Santa Clarita. anta Clarita. The Joint Powers Agreement establishes a Joint Powers Authority pursuant to Section 6500 et seq. The main purpose of the Council of Governments is to develop and implement subregional policies and plans that are unique to the greater San Fernando Valley region, and to voluntarily and cooperatively resolve differences among themselves. The members have determined that the public interest requires the establishment of an agency to jointly conduct studies and projects designed to coordinate and improve the common governmental responsibilities and services on a Valley-wide and subregional basis which services 2 million residents.

Join a community walk or bike audit on 10/5/24 to help assess the walkability and safety of our neighborhood, and give input for the First/Last Mile (FLM) plan to enhance connections between potential future transportation hubs and local destinations.

This audit is part of the North Hollywood to Pasadena Bus-Rapid Transit FLM Project and will examine conditions surrounding the proposed BRT station at North Hollywood Station.

Note: Bike audit participants must bring their own bikes and helmets.
