Five-Year Remembrance 🙏🏽🕊️

Today marks the five-year remembrance of the Sierra Incident, a tragic day that forever changed our fire family.

We pay tribute to fallen Fire Fighter Specialist Tory Carlon, whose courage, commitment, and ultimate sacrifice will always be remembered. We also keep Fire Captain Arnie Sandoval and the Carlon family in our thoughts and prayers.

Tory’s watch ended…but his bravery never wavered. He is greatly missed by all of us – and he will never be forgotten.

F.S. 46 Groundbreaking Ceremony

Today, Los Angeles County Fifth District Supervisor Kathryn Barger was joined by LACoFD Chief Deputy Jon O’Brien, along with local leaders and officials, to break ground on the new Fire Station 46 in Valencia.

Fire Station 46 will be a 13,341 square-foot, fully solar building designed to meet net-zero energy goals. The spacious layout features two apparatus bays to house one engine and a paramedic squad, alongside a barn for three reserve units. It also includes dormitory quarters designed for up to ten personnel.

Scheduled for completion in the Fall of 2027, the new fire station will enhance emergency response times and accommodate future population growth in the Santa Clarita Valley.
