Our amazing Baldwin Hills Elementary students welcomed their guest principal, Brooke Thomas, for a special Principal for a Day experience!

Brooke spent time with students and staff, getting a firsthand look at the learning, leadership and daily moments that make a school day happen. Thank you, Brooke, for joining us and for your continued support of Principal for a Day since the program began!

As we celebrate Principal Appreciation Month, we’re also celebrating the principals who show up every day for our students and school communities across Los Angeles Unified. 💙

𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙗𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩!

Students at Eastman Elementary and the Early Education Center enjoyed a day filled with soccer stations, an inflatable soccer challenge, a mini goal, a visit from LAFC's Falcon and a special appearance by Los Angeles Football Club goalkeeper Cabral Carter, who joined students for the fun and helped make the day even more memorable.

It was a full-team effort, with LAFC, DoorDash and Feed the Children teaming up with support from the LAUSD Education Foundation to bring additional resources and a little extra joy to students at Eastman in Boyle Heights, including backpacks, school supplies and other helpful resources.

And this kind of assist means more than what students took home. It's about making sure our students have the resources and support they need to thrive, while creating moments where they can have fun, feel celebrated and enjoy being at school.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up for Eastman and helped make this day one to remember. That's what teamwork looks like.
