We are SUPER excited to unveil LATTC’s brand-new Culinary Arts Food Truck!

LATTC Culinary Arts is hitting the road! LA Trade-Tech just introduced the newest classroom for its renowned Culinary Arts program: a brand-new food truck bringing hands-on learning, culinary talent, and Trade-Tech pride directly into the community.

For generations, LATTC has trained chefs who have gone on to lead kitchens, own restaurants, and shape Los Angeles’ food industry. Building on that legacy of excellence, this truck marks an exciting new chapter for our students and program.

More than a mobile kitchen, it’s a classroom, a real-world learning experience, and a way to show communities across Los Angeles what’s possible at Trade-Tech. Congrats, LATTC!

In observance of Labor Day, all LACCD colleges and District offices are closed today and will reopen Tuesday, September 8.

Thank you, CBS Los Angeles, for highlighting a historic Move-In Day for our East Los Angeles College students at Cal State LA!

Earlier this year, LACCD and Cal State LA launched a first-of-its-kind partnership to expand access to stable housing for ELAC students. Through this partnership, students can live in furnished, apartment-style housing at Cal State LA while continuing their education at ELAC, providing greater stability and the opportunity to focus on their education and future.

A new chapter begins for our ELAC students!

LACCD and Cal State LA celebrated a historic Move-In Day as ELAC students moved into student housing at Cal State LA for the first time.

Through this partnership, students will have access to furnished, apartment-style housing while continuing their education at ELAC, providing greater housing stability and the opportunity to focus on their education and future.

Thank you to the LACCD Board of Trustees and Chancellor Alberto J. Roman for advancing student housing initiatives and Cal State LA for partnering with us to help make this opportunity possible.

Thank you to the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce for joining LACCD at this month’s Board of Trustees meeting to share the impact of A Paradigm Shift, an initiative led by LA Chamber President & CEO Maria Salinas that is strengthening partnerships between higher education and industry.

Under the leadership of Chancellor Alberto J. Román, LACCD is committed to reimagining workforce development by bringing education and employers together to create stronger pathways from the classroom to meaningful careers.

Through collaboration with healthcare leaders, philanthropy, and community partners, LACCD is expanding pathways that prepare students for high-demand careers while helping meet Los Angeles’ growing healthcare workforce needs.

We are grateful to Maria Salinas, Devorah Lieberman, Juan De La Cruz of Adventist Health White Memorial, Krystle Kibbe of Kaiser Permanente, and Dr. Porsha Cropper of The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation for their partnership and for being recognized by the LACCD Board of Trustees for this important work.

Together, we are preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals, creating greater opportunity for our students, and building the future workforce of Los Angeles.
