Metro is opening three new D Line stations at Wilshire/La Brea, Wilshire/Fairfax and Wilshire/La Cienega on Friday, May 8, 2026, expanding D Line service from downtown Los Angeles to Beverly Hills.

To mark this historic milestone, Metro invites the community to the Discovery Runs Deep Community Celebration from 12:30 to 4pm at the three new stations and the existing Wilshire/Western D Line Station.

The celebration will feature live DJ sets from Metro Art and KCRW’s “Soundtrips,” food from neighborhood favorites, family-friendly activities, museum partners and booths hosted by local community organizations.

Metro will also offer free rides across the Metro system, including bus, rail, Metro Bike Share and Metro Micro, from 4am Friday, May 8, through 3am Monday, May 11. Use code 050826 for free Metro Bike Share rides. No code is required for Metro Micro.
