Way to go, Ohio! The groundswell grows for & against . ALL of us are undeniably harmed when federal thugs raid nonprofits & target advocates with threats & unlawful attacks. This rotten Administration is clearly terrified of & our voice. This Visibility Brigade message gets its exactly right: FBI Raids Are the Real Voter Fraud.

FBI RAIDS ARE THE REAL VOTER FRAUD.

On June 11, the FBI raided the Cleveland offices of the Ohio Organizing Collaborative, a nonpartisan civic group that's registered voters and run ballot-issue campaigns across Ohio since 2007. Agents fanned out statewide to the homes of staff and even volunteers who had only done basic canvassing, seizing laptops and phones, asking about alleged "voter fraud."

Registering voters is not voter fraud. Sending 100+ federal agents to the people who register voters, and knocking on volunteers' doors, has one purpose: to scare people out of doing legal civic work.

It's not working. The groups they raided have vowed to register even more voters, not fewer.

This is happening before the 2026 midterms, in a race where Sherrod Brown is reportedly polling ahead of FirstEnergy darling Senator Jon Husted, and Amy Acton is running for governor against Vivek Trumpaswampy.

Superintendent tied to failed AI contract & unlawful withholding of state arts funds resigns: There are no tears shed in L.A. today as Alberto Carvalho has officially quit . There is, however, sorrow that the promise of a leader who took personally the dignity, humanity, & vulnerability of undocumented students & mixed-status households was overshadowed by shenanigans with budgeting & shell games over precious public dollars enacted by voters & owed to students & educators for & instruction.
Good school governance requires forthrightness & devotion to keeping every public dollar in classrooms where ALL students can learn safely without discrimination, NOT side-deals with profit-driven vendors or privatizers that bleed money & lack honesty. Here’s to strong leadership by L.A’s members & a spirit of teamwork from new Supt. that can turn the page & write a new chapter going forward.

People with lung sensitivity or respiratory concerns are advised to avoid the outdoors. A follow-up to yesterday’s post. California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office is now demanding answers from the Department of Justice over its investigation into him and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom. In a letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Newsom’s legal affairs secretary requested access to “all documents and records,” including memoranda, emails, text messages, and even Signal messages related to the probe.
