THANK YOU, VALLEY VIEW!
What a way to finish Annual Fund! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Valley View community, we raised $65,781 to support the people, programs and resources that make our school so special.
And now it’s time to CELEBRATE!
This week, our Panthers earned some well-deserved fun with Music Morning, extra recess, Pajama Day and a Popsicle Party — all because our community showed up for Valley View.
And we have a few more victories to celebrate:
Participation Champion: Kinder Room 2A — an incredible 171% participation!
Over 100% Participation: UTK, Kinder 2A + Kinder 4
Highest Funds Raised: 1st Grade — $14,336!
Loose Change Champion: 1st Grade — $216.29 collected!
Whether you gave $5 or $5,000, shared our posts, asked grandparents to pitch in, collected loose change or helped spread the word — THANK YOU. Every gift added up to an incredible show of support for our kids and our school.
Now, Panthers, enjoy your Thank You Week. You earned it!

That means we’re just $11,575 away from our fundraising goal — and only 15 donors away from 100% participation.

What a great way to kick off a new school year at Valley View!
Thank you to all the families who joined us for yesterday’s Back-to-School Playdate. New friends were made, old friends reunited, and we even had a special visit from our beloved first-grade teacher Ms. Rodriguez and her dog, Elsa!
We loved seeing so many new and returning Valley View families together and getting excited for the year ahead.
School starts this week — we can’t wait to see everyone back on campus!

School starts next week, and tomorrow is the perfect way to kick off the new school year!
Before the first bell rings, take a few minutes to check a few things off your family’s Back-to-School Checklist:
• Join or renew your PTA membership.
• Complete or renew your LAUSD volunteer application.
• Save these important August dates.
Then come celebrate with us at our Back-to-School Park Playdate tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at North Weddington Park. Whether you’re new to Valley View or returning for another great year, it’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other families, reconnect with friends, and start the school year together.

Reminder, Valley View families — check your students’ backpacks today! 📚✨
Our 2026/27 Afterschool Enrichment lineup flyer is coming home, and we need your help estimating interest so we can plan class sizes and accommodate as many students as possible.
These exciting on-campus programs will be open to all Valley View students next school year and include creative, engaging afterschool experiences.
Enrollment is not open yet — this is just a headcount form for families who think their student may participate.
