Turkish authorities in Aydın province blocked the Scarlet Lady — a Virgin Voyages luxury vessel on a 10-day “Athens to Venice” charter organized by California-based Atlantis Events.

The ship carried around 1,900 passengers, the majority American, for a dedicated LGBTQ+ voyage.

Officials canceled scheduled stops in Kuşadası and Istanbul, stating the group was “known for behaviors incompatible with the fabric of our society and our moral values.”
