Im wondering if anyone has seen this before in house construction.

This house was built in 2025. Framing for stairs is embedded directly into concrete. On one side, the bottom (horizontal) lumbar is partially embedded but not up to the vertical supports like the other side.

Builder says “while this is not best practice, the use of V***r guard around the post negates potential issues”. However, the V***r guard is obviously not separating the concrete from wood as it was intended. I’ve learnt this is not up to code.

Is this something I need to concern myself with, now or in the next decade? How would this even get fixed.

Buying a new construction and one of the deck posts they installed is bowing...I pointed it out to the builder and he said "All lumber is going to do that, there's no problem with the structural integrity." Thoughts on whether this is good to go or not? I appreciate the help!

The Builders just build the deck . Supported with tow ledger boards and only one post on concrete tube . The 4X4 post is way off center. Will this be a problem ? Shall I have it dug up and replaced. It looks bad but I'm most worried about structural integrity . Would the concrete pier settle and shift over time.
The contractor is buddies with the inspector so I'm a bit worried.
If they dig it up to replace it they will dig into the driveway. They finished the deck like that and I never saw the inspector. Thoughts of just let it go?
