The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce hosted a roundtable with the Australian Consulate-General in Los Angeles, bringing together leaders to explore opportunities for deeper connections between Australia and Hollywood. The conversation highlighted the strong ties across entertainment, creative industries, tourism, international business, and talent, while looking ahead to the opportunities created by Los Angeles hosting the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Brisbane hosting the 2032 Games. The roundtable was an important opportunity to strengthen the Australia-Hollywood relationship and build momentum toward continued collaboration across two future Olympic host cities.

Last week, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce welcomed more than 200 business and community leaders to the Sheraton Universal for our annual State of the State, presented by Variety, Kaiser Permanente, and Google.

The event brought together all five legislators representing Hollywood: Senator María Elena Durazo, Senator Ben Allen, Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, Assemblymember Jessica Caloza, and Assemblymember Mark González.

Moderated by KTLA’s Rick Chambers, the conversation explored the issues shaping California’s economic future, from keeping film, television, and post-production jobs in the state to addressing street vending, expanding housing and homelessness solutions, and investing in infrastructure that will benefit our communities long beyond the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
