HUGE NEWS!

I am the officially endorsed candidate for the Los Angeles County Democratic Party.

The Los Angeles County Democratic Party represents 3.1 million Democrats across Los Angeles County, and over 62,000 registered democrats in the 9th District, the highest Democratic advantage in any Los Angeles City Council District.

Mark J Gonzalez - Chair of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party
"Los Angeles voters know we are in the midst of a housing, homelessness and public safety crisis, an assault on workers’ rights, and a critical need to rebuild after a crippling pandemic. Curren D. Price Jr. has the experience necessary to lead and make the decisions that will continue to move Los Angeles forward. On behalf of our 3.1 million Democrats, I look forward to re-electing Curren D Price Jr. in June, and working alongside him once again."

Alert!!
I am honored to have the endorsement of the first Latino U.S. Senator in the State of California. Senator Padilla has been a champion in the US Senate fighting for immigrant rights, worker’s rights, voting rights, racial justice and civil rights. - CP

Senator Alex Padilla, a progressive problem-solver, is the first Latino to represent California in the U.S. Senate. He was appointed in January 2021 to complete the Senate term of Vice President Kamala Harris. The son of immigrants, Padilla grew up in the San Fernando Valley and studied Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was drawn to politics in response to California’s anti-immigrant Proposition 187. Padilla was elected to the Los Angeles City Council in 1999 and the State Senate in 2006. As California’s Secretary of State, he oversaw a historic expansion of voting rights and voter participation. Padilla serves as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, and Border Safety. He is a member of the Senate Committees on Budget; Environment and Public Works; Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs; Judiciary; and Rules. Padilla lives in the San Fernando Valley with his wife, Angela, and their three sons, Roman, Alex and Diego.

I am seeking a third and final term to build upon what I have been able to accomplish during the last eight and a half years in office. With the pandemic having disproportionately affected my constituents, I need to continue serving them on multiple fronts to ensure that families are provided the services they deserve. This was demonstrated when I helped pass Hazard Pay for grocery workers, systematically ensured vulnerable populations like seniors had access to vaccines, delivered thousands of meals to seniors, hosted multiple food distribution events throughout my district, and provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to my residents and clinics.
My decades of experience and passion are required to continue meeting the needs of my district. I have full intention to leave my district better than when I started. If elected, it will allow me to increase homeless and affordable housing that are already in the pipeline, add new recreational parks that are being planned, finish pending legislation such as Public Banking, Unarmed Crisis Response, Legacy Business Program, and Fair Work Week.

I humbly ask for your support one final time and hope you can join me this Saturday.
