The heart behind the art - meet Alejandra, the 13 year old student who designed & painted the gorgeous art on the utility box at Santa Monica & Vine right here in CD13!

By working with and Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council, Alejandra located the utility box for her art, and was connected to a mentor-artist, Annie Hong, who guided her through the process!

Ever heard of Municipal Code section 41.18?

Our office introduced a motion to remove the twelve revocable 41.18 zones in Council District 13, and the full City Council will be voting on it tomorrow!

These zones make it harder for our unhoused population to receive valuable & critical resources, burdening them instead with citations they can’t pay, and which can even lead to arrests. Revoking these zones will aid in getting unhoused constituents indoors rather than displacing them.

Stay tuned for information and updates regarding our 41.18 motion.
