Happy Labor Day! Today, we're grateful for the hard work and dedication of workers everywhere who help our community and country thrive. We especially recognize our City staff, whose dedication behind the scenes and on the front lines makes life in Los Altos better every day. Thank you for everything you do.

Looking for a place to hang out after school? 📚🎮 The Los Altos Teen Center is a free drop-in space for students in grades 6 - 12 to study, play games, get creative, and connect with friends.

Enjoy video games, board games, ping pong, a mini library, plenty of study space, and an outdoor patio. No need to live in Los Altos to join. Just bring your student ID and sign in when you arrive!

The city of Los Altos Parks, Arts, Recreation & Cultural Commission is inviting artists of all backgrounds and disciplines to submit work for an upcoming exhibition inspired by Pistache Red, the rich, vibrant red found in the fall foliage of Los Altos' Pistache trees.

Whether your interpretation is literal, abstract, or conceptual, we encourage you to explore the emotion, energy, and visual impact of this striking hue.

🗓 Submission deadline: Sunday, August 9, 2026

At Redwood Grove Summer Camps, children discover the joy of exploring the outdoors while building a lifelong appreciation for nature. Set in Los Altos' own Redwood Grove Nature Preserve, campers learn through hands-on activities, including games, hikes, songs, arts and crafts, and nature exploration led by enthusiastic staff.
