It is White Rock Wednesday!!!
In this month’s Discover! program at the White Rock Branch Library, we offer an introduction (or refresher) to Life Drawing.
On Thursday, September 24. Los Alamos Life Drawing Group facilitator Ken Nebel will lead a workshop that explores what it’s like to draw with a clothed model as inspiration. Participants will take a look at a variety of drawing materials and draw the human form through a series of quick exercises.
Program Details:
• Registration is recommended; space is limited to 10 participants: https://laconm.libcal.com/event/17552768
• This is a free event taught for teens and adult audiences.
• No skills required. Art supplies are provided, or bring your own mess-free supplies.
• The group will meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at the White Rock Branch Library.

Join us for our very first Silent Book Club Book Exchange at Mesa Public Library. The exchange is open to all readers, not just Silent Book Club members!
From 6:00–7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, swap your gently used adult fiction or nonfiction books and discover fresh reads. Come for the book exchange, and stay (optional!) for 30 minutes of peaceful, silent reading in the upper rotunda.
Bring as many books as you’d like, or drop in even if you don’t have any to trade. Take home “new‑to‑you” titles for personal enjoyment, and any leftovers will be donated to the Friends of the Library Bookstore.
