September 10th is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Sometimes, the first step toward help is simply having someone who will listen.

Casa Youth Shelter is here 24/7 for youth and families in crisis—with a safe place to land, someone to talk to, and support finding the next step forward.

If you or someone you know is struggling, call our crisis hotline at 800-914-2272.

You don’t have to know exactly what to say. You just have to start the conversation.

Back-to-school season is an exciting time for our kids, our families, and our community.

It's a chance to support our families through the fun moments, not just the tough ones, making sure every child feels ready and excited to step into a new year.

To our donors who provided the school supplies, the families who trusted us and showed up, and our staff and volunteers who poured their hearts into this day, thank you.

If you’d like to get involved in the next opportunity to support our Casa Families, DM us about our Home for the Holidays event in December!

Just one month until !

Long Beach Gives is a community-wide giving event that brings together local nonprofits to raise support for the work we do in Long Beach and beyond.

That means it's the perfect time to start getting your friends, family, and coworkers excited about giving back.

There are two ways to support Casa Youth Shelter this year:

💙 Donate directly on our Long Beach Gives page beginning September 17th
📣 Fundraise for Casa by becoming a peer-to-peer fundraiser today! (click link in bio to learn more)

Every dollar and every share helps youth in crisis find the safety and stability they need, when they need it most.

When you need someone to talk to, your family, culture, or circumstances shouldn’t be a roadblock to support - they should be the blueprint for how we care for you.

Our counselors work hard to make Casa Youth Shelter’s mental health services accessible to every family we serve. We know reaching out isn’t easy, so we listen first - empowering our kids and families to share their stories and find the right path forward, together.

Multilingual. Flexible scheduling. No cost.
Support is one call or click away.

Call us at (800) 914-2272 for immediate support, or click the LinkTree in our bio to access our resources for Counseling, Teen Drop-In, and Parenting Classes.

Thank you to our friends at Five Points for Kids and the Orange County Sheriff's Department for donating 50 backpacks filled with school supplies for the youth we serve.

Every backpack is a reminder to our kids that people they've never met are cheering them on and want them to succeed.

If your company, organization, or community group is looking for a meaningful way to support local youth, we'd love to partner with you. From school supplies and hygiene products to holiday giving and other donation drives, there are so many ways to make a difference right here in our community.

Send us a message to learn how your team can get involved.

Every Tuesday, our volunteer Brian brings our youth groceries, a recipe, and the same familiar smile. Together, they cook, laugh, and share a meal.

But what our youth remember most is that Brian came back.

Every child deserves someone who keeps showing up. You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t have to change a life overnight.

Become someone’s Brian and be the reason someone looks forward to next Tuesday.

Healing doesn't happen in a single moment. It happens in all the moments in between.

Around the kitchen table. During conversations that build trust. In counseling sessions where healing begins.

That's the work happening every day at Casa Youth Shelter. It's made possible by partners like the Slave 2 Nothing Foundation and by people who believe every child deserves a safe place to heal, grow, and move forward.

We'd love for you to be part of those moments.

For most kids, summer means sleeping in, time with friends, and family adventures.

For the kids at Casa Youth Shelter, those moments aren't always guaranteed.

This summer, you can help change that.

By sponsoring a summer outing — a baseball game, a movie, a day of adventure — you can give our kids more than a fun afternoon. You can help them make a memory. A connection. A chance to just be a kid.

Because experiencing joy is a part of healing, too.

Message us to get involved.

250 years ago, our nation was founded on the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to pursue a better future.

At Casa Youth Shelter, that belief continues to inspire our work every day. This Independence Day, we celebrate not only our nation’s 250th birthday, but the resilience of the kids and families we serve—and the community that makes that work possible.

From all of us at Casa Youth Shelter, we wish you a safe, joyful, and meaningful Fourth of July. 🇺🇸
