Soldiers from the 640th joined together with military members from across Kuwait this Saturday to take part in the 15.6 mile Danish Ruck March!

This is a tradition for each deployed Danish Army unit, which brings together the various countries military’s that are participating in Operation Inherent Resolve across the Middle East!

The 640th and 40th CAB had the opportunity to host a Norwegian Ruck March for Soldiers in the 40th, and from units across the Middle East!

The Norwegian Ruck March is a timed 18.6 mile Ruck March that is a tradition of the Norwegian Armed Forces, and is an event that the local Norwegian Armed Forces assisted the 40th CAB in hosting!

A Co. 640th had the opportunity to promote one of their officers this week, advancing 2nd Lieutenant Tatiana Sevilla to the rank of First Lieutenant!

The seasons are changing here in Kuwait, and for the first time since most of our Soldiers here have left the states, we experienced rain during 1st Lt. Sevilla’s promotion ceremony!

Congrats to 1st Lt. Sevilla, and all@the hard work she has done for her platoon and company during her time here with the 640th!

The 640th had the opportunity to promote another NCO to the rank of Sergeant First Class this past week, SFC Joseph Alcantara!

SFC Alcantara has been serving with the 640th for over a decade, and his hard work and dedication to the unit has led him through the ranks in the Maintenance platoon, where he will soon be the Platoon Sergeant upon returning home!

Congrats SFC Alcantara, and thank you for your service at home in California, and deployed in defense of your nation!

Members from B Co. And HSC 640th recently had the opportunity to take an orientation flight on a CH-47 Chinook alongside deployed members of the Danish Army!

The 640th SPO and the Danish National Support Element here in Camp Buehring have been working closely to help keep our helicopters in the air, and to show our appreciation, the SPO Section presented a propeller and challenge coin to MSGT Per Buchwald of the Danish Army, and his fellow Danish Soldiers.

Lt. Bradshaw from A Co. 640th recently helped coordinate a pre-accident training exercise for the airfield in Camp Arifjan these last two weeks!

This training brought together the local US Army Fire Department, Camp Arifjan emergency responders, and aircraft from the 168th GSAB to all participate in the simulated training of retrieving personnel from a downed aircraft.
