Loris High School Loris, a rural community, has it all. Loris is a city in Northeast Horry County with approximately 3,000 residents inside the city limits.

The mission of LHS is to prepare all students to achieve excellence by creating an environment conducive to learning where students and families' work together to promote the skills needed in a continuously changing world. The tranquility and serenity of the small town that is just 30 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean at Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach and 45 minutes from Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand. Loris High School is situated on the outskirts of the town of Loris, South Carolina.

Mrs. Vescovi’s Teacher Cadet students took a trip to the Loris Library to explore one of our community’s most valuable resources and to check out children’s books they’ll use as they continue learning about teaching and literacy.

Future educators are learning that a love of reading begins early, but its impact lasts a lifetime. Our local library provides opportunities for every generation—from our youngest readers to lifelong learners—to read, discover, and grow.

We’re thankful for community resources like the Loris Library that support literacy, strengthen our community, and remind us that when we invest in readers today, we help grow generations of learners for tomorrow.📖

Join us for Goodies with Grands on September 15 at 9:00 a.m. in the LHS Community Room. Grandparents are invited to enjoy a free breakfast with their grandchild(ren) as we celebrate family, love, and the lasting impact of generations.
