Since 1981, following in the steps of our namesake Dorothy Day, the Dorothy Day Outreach Center believes that hospitality is the key to serving others. Our mission as the social outreach division of Saint Francis University is to educate the University students in issues of social concern and justice and to involve them in volunteer service through various programs on campus and in the local commu

nities. The Dorothy Day Outreach Center serves the community and continues to welcome all who come to its door treating everyone with dignity and respect.

Dorothy Day Outreach Center could use personal beds, dressers, kitchen tables, and chairs, couches, etc. We are low on these items. The Center helps veterans, homeless, and families leaving bad situations. They have nothing and we try to set them up with the basics.

A dedication and blessing of the new Dorothy Day Outreach Center was celebrated by the Very Rev. Malachi Van Tassell, T.O.R. Minister Provincial and President on Monday, May 13th.The new Center is located at 115 St. Mary's Street, Loretto (former Franciscan Mission Store).
