At 14:13 Hidalgo County Fire Rescue was dispatched for an accident on Highway 70 at the 27 mile marker. Upon arrival dispatch advised there was a patient entrapped. The highway was temporarily closed for a landing zone and reopened around 16:00. There were no fatalities.

Update: Since 1600 hours the HWY is now open.

HWY 70 and the turn off to HWY 90 is temporarily closed due to an accident.

Hidalgo Rescue was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on I-10 around the 13 mile marker. All patients were self extricated on arrival, dust was believed to be a factor. There were no fatalities on scene.

Hidalgo Rescue was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on I-10 @ 34 mile marker. On arrival crews found that a CMV hit a unoccupied CMV that was parked on the side of the interstate. There were no fatalities on scene.

Hidalgo Rescue was dispatched to a multi vehicle crash on I-10 @ the 11 mile marker. Crews arrived on scene to find a CMV rear ended a passenger vehicle. Blowing dust was believed to be a factor in this crash. Remember to be alert to road conditions as the windy/dusty months are upon us! There were no fatalities on scene.

Hidalgo Rescue station 1 and 2 were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on I-10 @ 11 mile marker. Prior to arrival, fire units were advised that the pick up truck went off the roadway and up and over the railroad tracks. There were no fatalities on scene.
