Congratulations to the Lorain Police Department's Dispatch team — Deb Riley, Randall Hutchinson, and Orlando Cruz — named Ohio's 2025 Dispatch Team of the Year by APCO/NENA of Ohio.

The team was selected from 16 nominees statewide for this honor, which recognizes the dispatchers who keep officers and residents connected and safe every day. They'll be recognized at a luncheon in Columbus on September 16.

Dispatch is often the first voice a resident hears in an emergency and the steady link between officers and the community throughout every call. Thank you, Deb, Randall, and Orlando, for your calm, your skill, and your dedication to Lorain — congratulations, Team.

MISSING CHILD: The Lorain Police Department is asking for the public's help locating 9-year-old Lukas Trunk.

Lukas left around 5:15 p.m. today and was last seen heading toward the Henderson Bridge.

Lukas has dirty blonde hair.

He was last seen wearing:

- Black shirt
- Blue shorts
- Black and white Puma shoes

The photo shown is not what Lukas was wearing when he left.

Lukas has autism and ADHD. If you see him, please stay with him and speak calmly. He may not respond to his name.
