Calling Local Craftspeople: Help the Swim Center Build Our New Sign!

The Lopez Swim Center is looking for skilled volunteers to help construct our new entrance sign.

The design calls for a 46” round, 3" to 3.5” thick wooden medallion with the Swim Cebnter logo etched and painted in Deep Blue, mounted on aluminum poles anchored into a large boulder.

Materials are covered--we’re simply looking for community members willing to donate their time and expertise. We’d especially welcome woodworkers, CNC operators, finish painters, and anyone with heavy equipment who could help source and set the boulder.

This sign will be a lasting symbol of the Lopez Swim Center, and we’d love for it to be built by our own community.

Interested, or know someone who might be? Drop us a message!

Raising the Roof, Lopez-Style! The DOME is UP!

Community spirit was on full display last Tuesday, as a dedicated group of volunteers and construction crew worked together to raise the Arizon dome at the Lopez Swim Center.

Thanks to this hardworking group, the Swim Center is one step closer to providing year-round aquatic access for the community and visitors alike.

Next up: The Timberland modular buildings—home to the Swim Center office, shower houses, and community room—are scheduled to be delivered this week.

BIG thanks to Ken Kortge for his fabulous videography and capturing this event!
