Lonsdale Fire was invited to read a few stories to some kids in the park on Friday. A couple of Lonsdale Fire fighters brought a fire truck to the park and read a few books to the visiting kids(yes us fire fighters can read 😜) Thanks for the invitation from the lonsdale public library.

A few of our members participated in the annual water fights in Belle Plaine as part of BBQ Days! As always, it was a great event that allowed us to have some fun with our fellow firefighters from across the area. The team had a great time as always and were able to take home 2nd place! 🏆

Don’t forget, we will be hosting our annual water fights event as part of Lonsdale Community Days on Saturday, August 8th at 2:30pm right out front of Rail 19 Bar & Grill! Hope to see everyone there!

Last Saturday, a house burn training was conducted by the Lonsdale Fire Department. These training sessions serve as a valuable educational resource, which we hopefully will not need to apply in actual situations. In order to practice responding to different scenarios, multiple fires are set in these houses, and this also fulfills the property owner's request to have the house burned down. Thanks are given to everyone involved for their help with this training.
